Refugee women and girls in Dzaleka Refugee Camp often face crises such as food shortages, natural disasters, health emergencies, and displacement-related hardships. SOFERES’ Emergency Relief Program provides urgent humanitarian assistance to ensure that vulnerable women, girls, and their families receive essential support during emergencies. Our response focuses on immediate relief, recovery, and resilience-building to help communities rebuild their lives after crises.
Key Program Areas:
Food Assistance & Nutrition Support – We distribute food packages and nutrition supplements to families affected by food insecurity, malnutrition, and humanitarian crises.
Dignity Kits for Women & Girls – We provide hygiene and dignity kits containing sanitary pads, soap, underwear, and other personal care items to support the health and well-being of women and girls during emergencies.
Shelter & Non-Food Items (NFIs) Distribution – We supply blankets, clothing, household items, and emergency shelter support to families affected by disasters, displacement, or extreme poverty.
Medical & Psychosocial Support – We provide referrals to healthcare services, emergency medical aid, trauma counseling, and psychosocial support for survivors of crises, including gender-based violence (GBV).
Cash Assistance & Livelihood Recovery – We offer emergency cash support and in-kind assistance to help families rebuild their livelihoods after crises.
Disaster Preparedness & Response – We engage communities in disaster risk reduction, early warning systems, and emergency preparedness training to strengthen resilience against future crises.
